The 7th Hutton Symposium on Granites and Related Rocks will be held in Avila, Central Spain from 4 to 9 July 2011. There are several options for lodging and field trips, depending on the number of people involved. We are making this preliminary call for expressions of interest so that we can make a decision on the location of the meeting, and make sure we can secure a booking for the most appropriate venue. If you are interested in participating, please, send an e-mail with your expression of interest and your personal data (name, affiliation, address) to fbea@ugr.es before November 1 2009.
In this e-mail, please, indicate also whether you plan to contribute a paper or an abstract to the conference proceedings (to be published in a Lithos Special Issue) and also whether you will require a Schengen visa. to enter Spain.

The Ottawa 2011 GAC-MAC-SEG-SGA invites researchers to participate in a special session on Magmatic-Hydrothermal Evolution in Felsic Magmas at the joint annual meeting in Ottowa May 25-27, 2011. Please submit abstracts to this special session, through the Volcanology and Igneous Petrology Division on the GAC website attached. The abstract deadline is January 15, 2011.

The organizing Committee decided to change dates for the International Symposium LARGE IGNEOUS PROVINCES OF ASIA, MANTLE PLUMES AND METALLOGENY to avoid overlapping with the GOLDSCHMIDT-2011 MEETING (14-19 August, Prague). В понедельник, 20 декабря 2010 года, на заседании Тектонического коллоквиума состоится предварительная защита Ескина А.Е. на тему: «Состав, структуры и тектоно-магматические условия формирования габброидов района нарушения Сьерра-Леоне (Срединно-Атлантический хребет, 5–7"10`с.ш.)».
Заседание состоится в 14-30 в конференц-зале ГИН РАН (4 этаж).
